Intervention Orders

There are two types of Intervention Orders – Family Violence Intervention Orders and Personal Safety Intervention Orders.

A Family Violence Intervention Order is aimed at protecting a person, their children and their property from a family member, partner or ex-partner who is engaging in family violence.

A Personal Safety Intervention Order is aimed at protecting a person from physical or mental harm caused by someone who is not a family member.
